Spotter rules
Community guidelines
WitchWatch only works if a report means someone stood in front of that shelf. These rules keep it that way.

Report only what you observed
- File a sighting only if you saw the shelf yourself, completed a pickup order at that store, or had an employee confirm the product code.
- Saw it only on a retailer website? Choose “retailer page only.” It is published as an online signal, never as a shelf sighting.
- Use the quantity ranges honestly. “Quantity unclear” is a fine answer.
- Report the right product. The pre-workout powder is not the energy drink.
- Do not file a report older than 24 hours, a future time, or a shelf you plan to check later.
Keep people out of it
- Notes describe shelves: aisle, purchase limits, pack sizes. No names, phone numbers, employee descriptions, license plates or personal details.
- Proof links must point to retailer or Alani Nu pages. Receipts and account pages are never appropriate.
- No harassment, no advertising, no links to other sites, no resale offers.
Checks are for people who went
“Still there,” “running low” and “gone” mean you visited that store after the report. Flags are for store, product, duplicate or honesty problems. Checks from scripts, from a reporter on their own report, or in bulk from one connection are discarded.
What moderation does
- Rate limits: 4 reports an hour and 15 a day per connection, 30 checks an hour.
- Duplicate control: the same store, product and state within 30 minutes points you at the existing sighting instead of publishing a twin.
- Quarantine: 3 independent flags hide a report pending review. The operator can restore or hide it permanently.
- Repeat abuse is blocked at the connection level. Hidden reports are soft-deleted and kept for 90 days as evidence.
Removal and corrections
To remove a report you filed, to report a store that should not be listed, or to correct something a flag cannot express, use the contact and removal form. It is stored privately for the site operator and is not a public inbox.
